In 2006 the Main Camp Road got a major upgrade. These improvements were spearheaded by Mark Crane, the founder of Mark’s Pizzeria. After re-grading of the road a geotextile fabric was laid down to keep the gravel from sinking into the mud. Then gravel was laid down all the way from the main entrance to the dining hall. Larger stones were place in and around ditches to help control erosion of the banks. The Road was built in memory of Jeffrey Crane who passed away around the time the road was installed.
